While the kiddos enjoyed bowling, laser tag, arcade games and all sorts of fun, the ladies enjoyed wonderful fellowship with sisters in Christ!
In a "picnic style" atmosphere, the meal consisted of hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, backed beans, potato salad, potato chips, and desserts brought by the ladies of CWC. What a treat!

Susan Brown, founder of
Arising to Excellence Ministries, spoke on "Flip Flopping in High Heels: How to Balance in an Unbalance World." She encouraged us to gain a deeper understanding of who we are in Christ and who Christ is in you. She has placed her Hope in the Lord and inspired us to do the same no matter what trial we may be going through.

Judy informed us that July was ice cream appreciation month and in 1904 the ice cream cone was invented and introduced at the St. Louis World's Fair. Among those in attendance was Helen Keller, Thomas Edison, and the Carnahans from California who were Judy's great grandparents. Her great grandfather bought his daughter, Judy's grandmother, a gold and diamond pendant watch at the fair. The same pendant watch that Judy wore 106 years later to the luncheon!
